Physical activity lowers the risk of getting cancer
Tuesday, November 29th, 2011New research presented by the American Institute of Cancer Research marks the existence of the connection between the hours spent watching television and the risk of cancer development.
Owing to the recent research, we already know that physical exercises are a protective factor from the development of cancers such as breast and colon cancer. The feedback connection is proven as well – a sedentary lifestyle increases the chances of tumors developing.
According to Medical Xpress after diagnosing 92,000 cancer patients a team of researchers led by epidemiologist Christine Friedenreich found that a significant difference in the development of cancer is just a sedentary lifestyle.
Physical activity corresponds to the lower levels of inflammatory markers such as C-reactive protein which is associated to the development of some kinds of cancers.
It is believed that people spend 15.5 hours every day working, studying, having meals, transportation or riding in front of the TV. Such a prolonged lack of exercises does not pass without the negative consequences.
That’s why Christine Friedenreich recommends physical activity. Walking down the corridor, get up and sit down, do not use transport if it’s possible. A good idea is the exploitation of office stationary bike, punching bag, or other opportunities to be proactive.
And note that physical work like this one is the wrong way to be active!
